Recreational Cannabis

Adults 21+ can legally purchase, possess, and cultivate cannabis. Arizona's program allows home cultivation for all adults, not just medical patients.

Medical Cannabis

Medical marijuana has been legal since 2010. Medical patients receive benefits including higher possession limits, lower taxes, and the ability to grow more plants.

Recreational Possession Limits

How to Get a Medical Card

1. Establish Arizona residency (valid AZ ID)
2. Get diagnosed with a qualifying condition
3. Obtain physician certification (must be licensed in AZ)
4. Apply online through Arizona Department of Health Services
5. Pay $150 fee ($75 for SNAP recipients)
6. Receive card within 10 business days

Tax Revenue Usage
